Baldies is a very relaxing game and that is what always made it stand out to me it's not a very deep rts it's more of a good way to kill time each level is nearly the same all 67 if im not mistaken but like i said it's not deep but it is fun i've had three copies down the years and i still play it from time to time so if you like strategy in all its forms you may like Baldies. Baldies is a fun action/puzzle game featuring follically-challenged 'Baldies.' Baldies offers an extended gameplay experience that fuses the elements of Dune 2, Populous, and Lemmings, with over 80 levels, 15 special weapons, and five 3D worlds. Each world has its own special graphics and environmental theme, including ice, grass, desert,. Baldies is a real-time action strategy game similar to Warcraft with a little bit of Lemmings thrown in for good measure. You control a band of cute but ruthless bald characters with one goal - wipe out the enemy Hairies.

Meen, 3D Dinosaur Adventure: Save the Dinosaurs), Baldi's Basics is a meta horror game that's really weird, with no real educational value to be found. Baldi has many friends in the school that will slow down your progress and put you at risk of being caught, so learn how each character works and how you can avoid their attention. Find and use items to your advantage. Oh, and finally, try not to get the quiz answers wrong... Each wrong answer makes Baldi angrier...

Use the WASD keys to move, and the mouse to turn. Left click to open doors and pick up items, right click to use the currently selected item, and scroll wheel to change the currently selected item. Hold down shift to run (Keep an eye on your stamina bar!), and press space bar to quickly look behind you. Escape can be used to pause.

Install instructions

Download the desired .zip file for your platform. It is recommended you download the latest version of the game, as older versions may contain bugs or be missing features from the new,er versions. However, if you enjoy one of an older versions more, feel free to play it! Extract all the files from the .zip file, making sure all the files are in the same folder. The easiest way to do this on Windows is to right click the 'BALDI_X.X.X_Windows.zip' file, select 'Extract All...' and then click the 'Extract' button on the window the pops up. This will put all the files in a new folder of the same name as the .zip file. Activate the game from this new folder, and feel free to move the folder wherever you want, so long as you don't move any files out of the folder.

Linux users, you may have to access the game's permissions and check 'Allow executing file as program' to launch the game.

Android users, follow these steps to install the game:

1. Click the download button next to the file 'BALDI_1.4.1d_Android.apk' on the game's main page.
2. When you click the download button, you will likely see a warning telling you that this kind of file can harm your device, and if you still want to keep it. Tap OK/Yes (Whatever your device says) in order to continue.
3. The file will begin downloading. Once it's finished, one of two things could happen.
   1. You will see the file name pop-up on the bottom of your browser's screen, with an option to open it. Tap open to continue.
   2. You will not be prompted with an option to open. If this happens, go to your device's Files app (May also be called Downloads, or something similar), and navigate to the downloads folder. Find the Baldi's Basics file (Again, it should be called 'BALDI_1.4.1d_Android.apk') and tap it.
4. If a warning telling you your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps through your browser pops up, tap settings to go straight to the settings menu where you can change this option. Turn on the 'Allow from this source' switch for your browser. Then go back to the screen you were on before. Make sure that you turn this option back off once you are finished installing the game to ensure your device is secure.
5. Now you should be on a screen prompting you to install Baldi's Basics Classic. Tap install to start the process.
6. Once the app is finished installing, you should be able to tap 'Done' to leave the screen, or 'Open' to go straight into the game! Enjoy!
7. Again, if you enabled the ability for your browser to install unknown apps during this process, it is highly recommended you go back into settings and disable this option again for your device's security, unless you regularly install apps through your browser.

Overview

The titular Baldies are a short, rotund race of funny little men who, as their namesake suggests, lack any sort of hair producing follicles. The player acts as their disembodied hand-god, guiding hapless Baldies through their normally peaceful daily activities. Not all is well in the land of the Baldies. There is another race, that of the evil Hairies, whose sole purpose in life is to dominate the land and to drive the Baldies into extinction. The goal of the game is to control the Baldies, help them create weapons of war, and ultimately wipe out the Hairy threat.

Gameplay

Baldies is a real-time strategy game, and as such is often compared to Command & Conquer or Warcraft. This is true to a degree, and the game does share a similar isometric perspective. However, unlike those games, as the hand-god the Baldies the player does not have any direct control over each unit's specific actions or movement. Under normal circumstances, Baldies will wander aimlessly around the game world. In this way, the gameplay is more reminiscent of Dungeon Keeper. Also, there is no traditional fog-of-war.

Playing as their hand-god, the player assigns each individual Baldie a specific task that ultimately helps propagate and advance the Baldies' civilization. This is accomplished by using the hand-god powers to literally pluck the Baldies from the earth and then place them in the various rooms of their small shacks. By placing them in a specific room, the specific Baldie will be assigned a new job or task, denoted by a change in the color of his clothes. Red Baldies are workers, which will generate energy that can be used to terraform the land and to unlock the angel wings/flying ability. Blue Baldies function as builders, which can upgrade the starting house or build new houses. Grey Baldies function as soldiers, and white Baldies work as Scientists. The Scientists will create new weapons and technologies for the Baldies, many of which are created by experimenting on the various animals found in the game world. Examples of inventions include bear traps, grenades, and exploding cows. Eventually, even cars and helicopters will be unlocked for use in the war against the Hairies.

As mentioned, dropping a Baldie into a specific room of a house changes its role. One room of the house has only a bed in it, and an animated Baldies jumps tirelessly up and down on the mattress. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this is the room that must be occupied for more Baldies to be bred. This is an important function, as the player will need numerous Baldies of all kinds in order to overrun the enemy race. This is the main mechanic of the game - constantly shifting the roles of the Baldies so as to most efficiently reproduce, advance technologically, and ultimately destroy the opposition.

Baldy's Game

In addition to the ability to physically move Baldies, the player can also wield some limited god-like powers. The Flamehead attack allows the player to call down the heavenly fire to smite a specific unit. The player also have the power to bring about Armageddon, which will instantly change every Baldie under the player's control into a solider and transport them to a small island with every unit of the opposing faction. The last Baldie or Hairy standing wins!
