Sorry for the delay in posting, I am very busy and have a lot on my plate at the moment and unfortunately my blogs get pushed to the back burner in circumstances like this.
With that here is, as promised, more cool Tupac memorabilia and collectables. Personally I think this item is just freaking awesome! I can only imagine how scarce something like this is. Even more astounding is the price I paid for it, just $10. I was flabbergasted when I got it at that price.
The reason I hold this item so dearly is because it is a promotional only record, so it wasn’t made for mass consumption.
Past that I have no idea where it really came from other than it was manufactured by Interscope Records.
Combine that with the fact that it also contains a Tupac Shakur song, Pain, that is totally exclusive to only the LP version of the film’s, Above the Rim, soundtrack.
So you can’t even get this song on the CD version of the soundtrack and it is certainly not available for download on iTunes, Amazon, etc.
So is there any other reputable way to get this song? If so, I haven’t found it yet. I’m not really sure why this song is so exclusive or why the LP seems to be so scarce.
Tupac So Much Pain Album
And the few people that do know of it’s scarcity (like myself) don’t even have to pay what would be considered very expensive prices to own it (although I have yet to see another for sale).
Maybe it’s a bootleg or otherwise knock-off but I wonder for that price is it really worth it? Which leads me to have faith in it’s authenticity.
I do know if I will ever have the chance to actually meet Dr. Dre and also can plan to bring this record with me but I would definitely like to present it to him and ask him about it. Scoring an autograph on it as well would really be cool.

Regardless this is a really cool find for many reasons and it’s officially kicking off my vinyl LP collection. What a start!
