It seems like the Ford Ranger was reintroduced only yesterday. But time flies and the 2022 Ford Ranger is already being redesigned to include some incredible upgrades. The Ranger is getting even better with upgrades that even go back to its roots.

The 2022 Ford Ranger is getting fresh upgrades

On owner.ford.com it's telling me I have a Sync (non-MFT) update available for my 2014 Focus. I believe I'm at version 4.2.1, and from the file named in the download. Removing the Ford 4' factory radio to install Sync 3 in as much detail as possible for a 2017 300a F150 XLT in a cost effective way.Includes aftermarket came. It’s safe to expect a larger touchscreen with ford’s new Sync 4 infotainment system. The current model offers an 8-inch screen. There could be a 12.8-inch vertical display near the center console with a 10.25-inch digital cluster display.

The current Ranger returned in 2019, so the updates may feel a little fast. However, the Ranger has been available in other markets for the last decade. That’s why a refresh is already on the way.

Ford

According to Motor Authority, the 2022 Ford Ranger is getting a little bigger and smaller. New spy shots reveal that single and Super Cab versions are on the way. The Single Cab will really provide the Ranger with a nostalgic feel. Also, in some markets, an SUV body will be offered.

The 2022 Ranger is expected to borrow styling cues from the 2021 Ford F-150. Despite being heavily covered in camouflage, you can see that the new Ranger has a similar headlight design. The Super Cab body also includes a sport bar.

How much power does new Ford Ranger have?

The 2022 Ford Ranger will have close ties with the Ford Bronco because it will ride on the updated version of the T6 body-on-frame platform. The updated platform is a little larger and can support hybrid technology.

Therefore, it’s safe to expect the Ranger to carry the same powertrains. But this is purely speculation at the moment. The Bronco has a 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-four with 300 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. You can upgrade to the 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with 330 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque. The Ranger may be offered with a seven-speed manual and a 10-speed automatic transmission too.

The current Ford Ranger has a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, it can tow up to 7,500 lbs and carry a payload of up to 1,860 lbs. This is an excellent amount of power, so these figures may not increase.

It’s currently unclear which electric options Ford has planned for the Ranger. It could receive a plug-in hybrid variant before going fully electric. Also, the Ford Ranger Raptor may be the only option available with the twin-turbo V6.

How much does the 2022 Ford Ranger cost?

Ford Sync My Ride

The 2022 Ford Ranger is expected to begin at around $26,000. This would be for the base model with two-wheel drive. According to Kelley Blue Book, higher trim levels such as the Ranger Raptor could increase the price to about $50,00. The XLT Crew Cab with the FX4 Package could start around $40,000.

Its price will be well worth it, thanks to the exterior and interior upgrades. It’s safe to expect a larger touchscreen with ford’s new Sync 4 infotainment system. The current model offers an 8-inch screen.

There could be a 12.8-inch vertical display near the center console with a 10.25-inch digital cluster display. Rumors suggest that Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be available with a layout similar to the Mustang Mach-E’s.

The new Ford Ranger is expected to be available during the first quarter of 2022. So hopefully, we will learn more about its redesign by the end of summer. We will keep you updated as we learn more.
