Export Layout To Model In Autocad 2013

Applies to 2018.1 Update and later You can export all visible objects from the current layout to model space in a new drawing. You can export all visible objects from the current layout to the model space with the EXPORTLAYOUT command. Objects that are outside the boundaries of “paper” in the layout are also exported. Some objects are not exported to the model space drawing.

Anyone know any tricks to get a sheet to export into DWG model space?
We have engineers using Autocad who reference a common project title block. Architects in revit maintain information in the revit model. Our sheets are right, but we have to remember to update the DWG file for the engineers. I was looking for a way to make a stripped-down title block to export to DWG for engineers and consultants to use as a titleblock base, but Revit saves sheets to paperspace, so the xref won't work. I haven't figured out how to get project parameters to show up in a legend view either, or that might work...
any ideas?

  1. Re: Export DWG taking too long - URGENT. By jim smith » Mon May 13, 2013 9:34 pm. The model size is deceptive, checks in at 31 MB with 2.2M edges. The computer is fairly powerful - ASUS laptop with core i7, 8 GB ram, nvida gtx 560m 2GB. I get a jpeg in a short time, just forever on the DWG.
  2. Controlling Output File Names From AutoCAD. Unfortunately Autdesk has been horrible to say the least with how they pass the filename out to a system printer driver. For some reason they thought it would be a good idea to always append on a ' (1)' to the end and for a few version also appened on the.dwg or.dxf extension name.
